Clamps SCS

Clamps SCS

Clamps for scooters differ mainly in type and in inner diameter. Almost all clamps are made of aluminum.

Classic clamps, usually with two screws, are light and fit HIC, IHC and threaded compression systems. When choosing such a clamp, pay attention to the inner diameter, as it must match the outer diameter of your handlebars. Two sizes are generally used: Standard (approx. 32mm) and Oversized (approx. 35mm). Some clamps also have a shim (pad with a cut) in the package, which allows the clamp to be used with both Standard and Oversized handlebars.

SCS clamps are used exclusively on SCS forks, so they create SCS compression. Such clamps have four screws and are considered the strongest compression system that currently exists. Their disadvantage can be the weight, which, however, is significantly reduced in the case of some models due to their shape. Some higher quality SCS clamps also have so-called Spreader bolt, which means it is a special small screw that screws in from the opposite side of all other screws and allows the clamp to spread for easier and more comfortable handling during the installation of the handlebars. Two sizes are generally used: Standard (approx. 32mm) and Oversized (approx. 35mm). Some clamps also have a shim (pad with a cut) in the package, which allows the clamp to be used with both Standard and Oversized handlebars.
