How to choose Heelys

Heelys are the original wheelie shoes. They are fun and stylish and you will have a lot of fun with them, that's for sure. Wheels are detachable, so you can change the Heelys to a regular walking shoes in a matter of seconds.

You can decide about the correct Heelys size in the same way as when choosing regular skate shoes. Use a size chart, which is always attached to a product.

How to determine the correct Heelys sizes

The best way how to determine correct size is to lay your heel against straigh wall and on a sheet of paper. Stand on the papier with your bare foot with heel touching the wall. Try to mark the spot where your longest toe can reach. Next step is to measure the length from the wall to the mark which you made. For a comfortable fit, the boot should be slightly bigger. If you are choosing Heelys for a still growing kid, go for one size bigger model then the kid usually wears. 

Sometimes, it can happen that kids get a feeling of heel lifting up too easily, even when the wheelie shoes are tightened. That happens because the inner part of the boot is lifted so the wheel can fit inside. Thats why even if the kids feel the heel lifting a little bit, it's no problem. 

Heelys types

Wheelie shoes are also available as different models/types. 

Classic skate shoe type

  • upper made of PU leather, vinyl or from synthetic nubuck 
  • wider shape
  • classic laces

Converse style textile shoes 

  • textile / vinyl upper 
  • more space inside / lass padded shoe

High cut shoe

  • upper differs based on model type 
  • extra ankle support (even if not necesary, Heelys usually offer enough support in general )

2-wheel Heelys

Model X2 is meant for smaller kids. Two wheels give the Heelys much better stability and when the kids are ready for one wheel version, they can just easily detach the front wheel and morph their Heelys in one wheel version. 

Back wheel is slightly bigger then the front one, which makes the shoes well balanced and makes balancing on heel much easier. All X2 models are also equiped with flexible rubber bands instead of laces for extra easy putting on. 

One wheel Heelys

One wheel Heelys are equiped with one bigger wheel and they are total classic.
