Lactate Scout Sport Solo
The lactometer Lactate Scout 4 is used to determine the lactate level in the blood under any conditions. It is easy to operate, after taking a blood sample, the device measures the lactate value within 15 seconds of inserting the blood stripe.
The package includes:
- diagnostic device on Lactate Scout 4
- 2 AAA batteries
- user manual and safety instructions
WARNING! The package does not contain control stripes or a blood sampling needle (a classic injection needle can be used)
Blood lactate measurement:
- insert the batteries into the device on the back
- you can choose the basic settings with the scroll wheel on the right side of the device (data entry, time, measuring stripe code, measurement method, etc.)
- choose a test stripe from the box and insert it into the device - the device will turn on automatically
- clean and disinfect the earlobe or fingertip for sample collection
- a short injection with a disposable needle or lancet pen is enough to take blood
- attach the test stripe, inserted into the device with the free end so that it absorbs drops of blood, one sample has a volume of max. 0.5 µl of blood
- as soon as the blood is absorbed into the test stripe, the measurement will start automatically, and the result will be displayed within 15 seconds
- the device stores the last 250 measurements, including data, time, measurement method and serial number of the measurement
Technical parameters and measurement accuracy:
- measurement principle: determination of lactate level from fresh capillary blood
- measurement range: 0.5 - 25.0 mmol/liter
- minimum sample volume: 0.5 µl of blood
- required time for diagnosis: 15 seconds from sample insertion
- measurement accuracy: 3% - 8%, depending on the concentration
- recommended ambient temperature: min. +5 °C, max. +45 °C
- recommended ambient humidity: up to 85%
- memory: 250 measurements (value, time, temperature)
- dimensions: 91 x 55 x 24 mm
- weight: approx. 80 g including batteries
- display: LCD display - values and symbols
- batteries: 2 x 1.5V AAA/LR03 mini pencil batteries
Diagnostic stripes:
- diagnostic stripes can be purchased separately in packages of 24, 48 or 72 pcs.
- the shelf life of one can is 6 months, it must be stored at temperatures below 25 °C (can be stored in a refrigerator or freezer), the stripes must be protected from light and moisture
- the minimum sample volume is 0.5 µl of blood, the stripes are made to absorb as quickly as possible, thus reducing the risk of infecting another person
- the device will perform the measurement automatically by calibrating the internal thermometer, therefore the stripes and the device should have the same temperature
- the stripes are compatible except for the Cosmos Lactate Scout 4 device with the Cosmos Sirius model
- we do not recommend using other stripes with the device
- each stripe is only suitable for one measurement
