Inline Skate Servicing
We provide inline and roller skate servicing as a service in our shop at Lužná 19 in Bratislava. Depending on technical and time requirements, we will come to an agreement how quickly we will perform the service. As a rule, the service is completed within 3-4 working days.
Our servicing operations include wheel rotation, installation of new wheels in skates, cleaning of bearings, assembly and replenishment of spare parts, cuff repairs and much more.
The most frequently performed actions are listed below.
Small servicing / wheel rotation (€10)
Small servicing is a basic skate maintenance that should be done several times a season, depending on the time spent skating. This service includes the following steps:
- removal of wheels
- bearings examination
- surface maintenance of bearings and frames
- checking whether wheels are worn down, performing wheel rotation accordingly
- adjusting and tightening of knives
- cleaning of skates
- in case of interest, comments regarding usage and maintenance
Full servicing (€15)
Full servicing means advanced skate maintenance. In the case of frequent use of skates, it should be performed at least once a year. This maintenance is also recommended when the the bearings are noticeably worn out, exposed to moisture or are in need for oiling.
This servicing includes the following steps:
- removal of wheels
- bearings examination
- disassembly of bearings into parts (cage, bearing balls, caps, etc.) - cleaning and degreasing of individual parts from dust and dirt in a special substance
- cleaning of skates
- oiling of bearings in special high-speed oil (solid lubricant according to requirements) - assembly of bearings
- checking whether wheels are worn down, performing wheel rotation accordingly
- adjusting and tightening of knives
- in case of interest, comments regarding usage and maintenance
Note: Full service only applies to bearings that can be serviced. Firmly pressed bearings cannot be disassembled!
Cuff buckle repair
If the cuff buckle on your skates is broken, we will find a suitable replacement and attach a new cuff buckle on the skate. Whether you need a new strap or a tightening part, we will always find a suitable solution so that you can continue using your skates. The service will cost you the price of the cuff buckle and its assembly, which, if it needs to be riveted, does not cost more than €5. Feel free to stop by even if you don't see the cuff buckle you need in the e-shop.
Drilling axles and screws with stripped threads
A stuck axle or screw in the frame is often the cause of a stripped thread, which can no longer be easily loosened with an Allen key. We will professionally remove the axle from your skate and replace it with a new one.
Replacement of a lost axle, screw or wheel
Did you lose only one wheel while driving or is your axle missing? Your skates may not be ready to be put away yet. Thanks to the fact that we also sell spare parts in pieces, we can help you with a spare wheel and you don't have to buy a whole new pack of bearings and spacers for it.
Repair of tighteners
We will also repair any torn tightener in your skates.
