On long runs, you can easily detach the chin guard and hide it in your backpack, and at the top of the hill you simply snap it back on and you're ready for the descent. Compared to older models, the Super 3R improves the internal shape of the helmet, which better adapts to any head shape, and also has a new Float Fit fastening system. Of course, the Bell Super 3R MIPS models also feature MIPS technology for greater safety and impact resistance. 23 ventilation holes will also provide increased comfort, and if you want to share your bike experiences with friends or family, you will also find a GO-Pro holder on the helmet.
MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System)
All Bell helmets are designed to absorb as much energy as possible during an impact and meet the applicable European standard: EN 1078. The goal of the new MIPS technology is to eliminate rotational forces that act on the head during impacts. On impact, at any angle, the MIPS system allows the EPS body of the helmet to rotate by up to a few millimeters, reducing the force of the impact.
